The Location

It’s no secret we love the California coastline. The colors of the ocean as the sun hits the waves, the jagged cliffs staggered down the state – it’s epic. Paired with the perfect Airbnb and a romantic garden walkway down to the cliffs; this place made for THE BEST Carmel coast elopement location!

The Story

Olivia and Olivia originally planned a huge wedding for 2020, but due to the pandemic they had to change their plans. Instead of the big party, they opted for the dreamiest intimate elopement on the Carmel coast. They spent the morning getting ready together in their Airbnb (which I will always recommend!) And then they said their I do’s right on the cliffs with 2 of their close friends (as well as a Livestream going and friends and family watching on Zoom too!) Afterwards the newly weds had a champagne toast with their online guests and cut into their confetti cake! Then we took our time walking along the cliffs taking portraits, enjoying that coastal breeze and rejoicing that these beautiful brides got to say I do regardless of the craziness that 2020 brought.

This elopement is a shining example of how resilient love is, and a perfect example of how (SO MANY) couples have had to pivot their wedding plans over the last year. Ok can you believe it’s already been a year since the start of this?? It has made us all think about our priorities and reflect on what really matters. While the disappointment and grief of having to abandon or postpone the big wedding plans is SO REAL, it is so inspiring to see how love triumphs over all. Eloping may not be what you originally planned, but I’m here to tell ya that what truly matters is spending the rest of your life with your partner. Big party or intimate elopement, we are HERE FOR IT!
