Burney Falls Proposal

This proposal at Burney falls in Norcal has THE SWEETEST story behind it! Mitchell had made a plan to propose to his girlfriend Kelsey at this Shasta county waterfall. But what he didn’t know is that his thoughtful family reached out to me to come and capture the precious moments. Yep, these photos were a surprise to both of them, so sweet right?

Once they saw they were being photographed, the engagement session began! Those huge grins of joy came so naturally as they celebrated the occasion. If you haven’t thought of having a photographer at your proposal – this is your sign to do it! Or hint around to your partner or family that they should do it like Mitchell’s family did! These are the kinds of moments that you want to have documented. They’re priceless.

The location

If I had to pick a favorite waterfall in the world, Burney would have to be near the top. Norcal has a lot of beautiful landscapes, but a MASSIVE fairytale like waterfall with the most enchanting teal waters? Yeah it’s hard to believe it’s even real! I’ve had the opportunity to adventure and shoot here a few times, and it really never does get old. It’s the perfect place for a photo shoot, proposal, or maybe even an elopement! I promise you, once you visit this magical place you will fall in love. Fun fact: It’s actually the second oldest state park in California’s system – how cool is that?!
