Yosemite Adventure Session | Taft Point

Chelsea and Dan flew in from Georgia to celebrate their anniversary in Yosemite National Park! We met up for an adventure session at Taft Point and caught the dreamiest golden hour!! National Parks as amazing as Yosemite are getting more popular for photoshoots these days so here’s a few tips make the most of it:

Tip 1. Book in advance

Whether you’re planning an elopement or a couple’s photoshoot, it’s becoming even more important to reserve everything far in advance. From your vendors (like me your photographer), applying for a photo permit, and accommodations and campsites! Yosemite is one of the most popular national parks (for good reason.) Because of that planning and booking your time in the park is super important!

Tip 2. Choose a weekday

Since the park can get very overcrowded visitors, choosing a time between Monday-Friday is your best bet (avoiding any holidays!) Going during peak days can mean extended driving time with traffic, and having the popular spots like Taft Point and Glacier Point road filled with people. Considering an off season month is also a great way to avoid the summer vacation crowds!

Tip 3. Be flexible

Adventure sessions don’t always go as planned, especially when dealing with mother nature and the NPS. Not every session at Yosemite will look exactly the same, just like every couple is unique and equally beautiful! Sometimes weather may be different than expected, or a trail may be closed. But either way we will take photos like this Yosemite adventure session that reflect the love that you and your partner share! If you have any questions or concerns on booking a session at Yosemite you can always reach out! For now scroll through Chelsea and Dan’s romantic sunset session at Taft Point!
