Sarah and Marcin’s Hawaiian sunrise elopement at Secret Cove on Makena Beach was nothing short of magical! Based on O’ahu, I’m always hopping from island to island for incredible moments like this. And Maui did not disappoint! Secret Cove, tucked away from the busier beaches, gave Sarah and Marcin that intimate and serene backdrop that they envisioned for their elopement. With the gorgeous waves and the sun painted in pastel colors, their morning was absolute perfection!

Island Hopping for a Romantic Hawaiian Sunrise Elopement

Living in Hawaii means that capturing moments like Sarah and Marcin’s takes a bit of planning – and a lot of island hopping! Since there isn’t a flight early enough to make it to Maui for sunrise, I flew over the night before, rented a car, and stayed nearby. After their coverage wrapped up, I hopped back on a 30-minute flight to O’ahu! Flights like these, usually $120-$160 round trip with Hawaiian Airlines, are a regular part of my schedule. But, it’s all worth it for mornings like these!
