This Whiskeytown lake engagement session with Sam and Ian was so amazing! These two cuties met on a summer mission trip to Haiti which led to a serendipitous friendship headed for matrimony. You can tell by the smiles on their faces just how much joy there is in their relationship, such a sweet love. We had the best time hanging out by the lake capturing this engagement season in its purest form. They chose 3 different outfits that all worked so well with the location. It’s such a good idea to bring a couple options, so you can have some variety with a more formal outfit and then a casual one! I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to couples outfit ideas if you need help figuring what to wear to your engagement shoot! Check it out here
Sam and Ian chose one of my favorite locations for their spring engagement session! The Whiskeytown National Recreation area here in Redding is one of the best NorCal locations for a couples session. The foggy weather made for the dreamiest blue colors across the lake. And that fresh spring greenery surrounding the Klamath Mountain range was really popping! This is one of those locations in Shasta country that you don’t need to hike into, which makes it super accessible for a session like this! There’s lots of space around the area to explore with different views of the lake and Shasta Bally mountain!!
These two had a lovely San Luis Obispo wedding that included the dreamiest bridal session at Mossbrae Falls! Check out their wedding day blog here!
