So excited to bring you outside of NorCal in this post and feature these epic Oregon elopement bridal portraits!! Giving us the dreamiest PNW vibes, Sparks Lake definitely did not disappoint! This gorgeous spot is located just outside of Bend, OR along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway in Deschutes National Forest!
Places to elope near Bend, Oregon
Bend is one of my favorite locations in Oregon, and there are SO many epic places nearby for an elopement! With mountains, forests, waterfalls, lakes and incredible rock formations in the high desert; the landscape is so diverse! So if you’re dreaming of romantic PNW elopement, here are a few location ideas to consider!!
Smith Rock State Park
Located only 45 minutes from Bend, this state park features some incredible volcanic rock canyon landscapes that are SO vastly different from the rest of the PNW. The summer heat and the barren rocky terrain can make you forget you’re not actually in Utah! This is great location for the desert boho bride, and does not require any intense hiking!
Newberry Volcano, Paulina’s Peak
If you want a less popular location, featuring more rugged terrain this could be a fun spot to choose! With lava fields and mountain views, this spot is worth the elevation gain! Located about an hour south of Bend, you’ll be blown away with lake and mountain views alongside the rugged volcanic lava terrain!
The Mackenzie River
Just an hour north of Bend you will find yourself immersed into the dense forest, with multiple waterfall hikes that could make the most romantic spot for an elopement. Sahalie, Koosah, Proxy, Tamolitch (Blue pools) and Rainbow falls all vary from easy to moderate hikes, but are all amazing options if you’re dreaming of an Oregon waterfall elopement!
Sparks Lake
And of course, the location of these elopement portraits! Sparks Lake is located about 40 minutes from Bend, and has easy access to epic views! The tree-lined lake turns into a mirror on a clear day, reflecting the snow capped mountain range!
