Elyse and Travis embarked on a breathtaking journey to celebrate their Yosemite National Park elopement day. Their elopement day was nothing short of magical. Set against the iconic backdrop of towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and ancient sequoias. Yosemite provided the perfect canvas for this bohemian affair, with a touch of nostalgia and filmy charm. It was a gorgeous day for Elyse and Travis. I’m so happy I was able to capture it for them!

“Okay so Travis and I were first introduced to each other by our best friends who are married
(Hannah & Tyler). Actually I already kind of knew who travis was because he had been messaging me on facebook every year on my birthday to with me a happy birthday but I didn’t really give him the time of day haha.
So we met in December of 2016 and actually talked and hung out with each other before he had to leave to go back to where he was stationed for US Marines. During the holidays of 2016 we went to an ice skating rink in St Louis with all of our friends. This was where we really started talking to each other and that is where we knew there was something there! We quickly started dating after that and never lost contact! The first two years of our relationship was long distance so that was really tough but I think it made up stronger! He got out late 2018 and came home and we have been inseparable ever since!
So on November 28 2021 he took me back to the same ice skating rink that we went to in 2016 –
just him and I. We started skating around and we did a couple of laps and then he started skating faster ahead of me (very unsturdy haha he doesn’t know how to skate) and then he “fell” so I skate up to him laughing at him but also trying to get all the ice/snow off his back.
Meanwhile he is getting tup on one knee and getting the ring out of his pocket! It couldn’t have been a more perfect proposal and I was so happy. Oh I forgot to mention my mom, his parents, our two best friends Hannah and Tyler, and our other friends Amanda and Corey were all hiding off to the sides watching the whole thing (and recording/photographing) haha. It was the most perfect day and I was and still am on cloud nine that I am marrying my best friend!”
