Oahu Elopements and Vendors: Highlighting One of My Favorite Oahu Officiants

Couple exchanging vows during an Oahu elopement ceremony

There’s something so magical about eloping in Oahu. Whether it’s the laid-back island vibes, the epic backdrops, or the slower pace that let’s you soak it all in. It’s no wonder more couples are choosing this slice of paradise! But let’s be real – choosing the right vendors makes all the difference. Come see who I recommend for your Oahu officiants!

Oahu Officiants: Thoughtful, Intentional Ceremonies

One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings on the island is getting to work with amazing local vendors. And if you’re looking for someone to make your ceremony feel real, you’ve gotta meet Nicole Driver of @oahuofficiant. She writes her ceremonies with so much care and intention. It’s not just reading a script, it’s storytelling. Every word feels tailored to the couple, and it shows!

Why The Right Oahu Officiants Matter

It’s easy to get caught up in the flowers and the photos (I mean…guilty), but your ceremony is the heart of your elopement. A great officiant like Nicole doesn’t just fill space—she creates it. Space to pause, reflect, and celebrate the moment with so much intention. That kind of energy is contagious, and it totally elevates the whole day.

Selina + Brandon’s Elopement on the West Side

I recently photographed Selina and Brandon’s wedding on the west side of Oahu, and it was such a dream. Nicole’s ceremony had everyone emotional in the best way. She balanced warmth and meaning so beautifully—it set the tone for the entire day!

“We met in 2014 when we were only 19 and 20 years old – I was a hostess/server and he was a bartender at a popular local restaurant chain in Vancouver at the time. We’ve been dating now since August 2014 and want to elope, with just the two of us, an officiant, and a photographer on our 10 year dating anniversary. We got engaged November of last year and after going back and forth for almost a year, trying to decide whether we wanted to have a wedding or elope, we have finally made our decision to elope! We’ve been to Oahu once before and fell in love with it so it’s our top choice for our elopement but we don’t have a specific location decided yet.”
