Panther Beach Engagement

This romantic Panther Beach engagement photoshoot in Santa Cruz was so much fun! These two went all out and even got in the freezing cold water for some fun ocean photos! I’m all about having fun and doing spontaneous things at a session – I’d love to do something like this in Hawaii with a couple in the warm tropical water one day (hint hint!)

What to wear for engagement photos

This shoot is a great example of a formal outfit to wear to your engagement session. I loved the gorgeous boho white lace dress that Jecelle got from Lulus. And then paired with Deven’s classy white button up and black pants, these two were straight out of a fairytale. When picking out an outfit for your engagement photos it’s important to think about where you’re shooting and how the clothes will fit with the location. The beach is a great place to break out a stunning white dress, especially a mermaid style one! A lot of couple’s choose 2 outfits – one formal, and another more casual. I recommend wearing clothes that don’t have a crazy pattern and are more neutral colors. By doing so you are letting the location and your emotions do all the talking! Jecelle + Deven’s 2nd outfit they wore in the Redwoods is another perfect example of a more casual outfit that aligns with the location! Choosing colors that are coordinated yet not matching is exactly what we want!
