Sarah and David got married at Surfsand Resort on Canon Beach, a stunning venue, with lots of scenic spots that are great for photos. Sarah’s room at the resort was perfect for getting ready photos. Not only did it have great lighting, but also a view of Haystack rock right from the balcony! And her dress by BHLDN was gorgeous. The leafy lace detail perfectly suited Sarah’s love of the outdoors!
We did their first look in Ecola State Park on some bluffs above Canon Beach. Her bouquet and his boutonnière by Pacific Coast Floral Design were stunning. I loved the way the blue flowers popped with the ocean and sky in the background! After that we went to another location in the park for some forest pictures.
Their ceremony on the beach was sweet and simple, with Haystack rock right behind them! Then they moved inside to a beautiful reception hall and partied it up! Once the wedding was over we headed to the beach and got the most magical sunset pictures! It was perfect for this adventurous couple.
If you’ve been considering having an Oregon Coast wedding, DO IT! It has so many incredible options for ceremony and photoshoot locations! Whether you want a more intimate elopement or you want to go all out with a huge wedding, Oregon has it all! There are great beaches such as Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City, Seaside, and Yachats State Recreation area, where you can find a secluded cove by the tide pools, or you can climb up a sand dune to say I do with a view above the coast. But if you want the convenience and elegance of a venue, there are beautiful ones like Inn at Spanish Head in Lincoln City, Crook Point in Brookings, and many more!
“We met online (Hinge) in 2015! One of the first things we connected over was our love of the Oregon coast. It has forever been one of our favorite places, so we knew we wanted to get married there. We fell for each other quickly… Our 3rd date was a spontaneous trip to a cabin in the mountains. So adventure and fun are so important to us.
David proposed in August 2019. It was in Panther Meadow on Mount Shasta at sunset. It was the most beautiful, serene, magical moment. We originally planned our wedding for September 2020 but had to postpone to 2021. We can’t believe it’s finally happening!”
